Clinton, MO. – (Dec. 12, 2024) – Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) is celebrating the first anniversary of the Dr. James and JoAnn Bourland Radiation Oncology Center. The Center opened in December 2023, and since its inception, it has completed more than 4,600 individual treatments and served 245 patients. Had it never opened, those 245 patients would have been forced to drive long distances or may have declined to receive care due to the burden of travel.
The Radiation Oncology Center is well-known for its top cancer experts, compassionate staff and one of the most advanced medical linear accelerator suites available. The Varian Medical Systems TrueBeam Linear Accelerator system provides the state of the art in high precision, image-guided radiotherapy to treat tumors wherever they are found in the body.
