Clinton, Mo. – (June 22, 2020) – On Friday, Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler, stopped by Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) to visit about how COVID-19 has impacted the organization and express her gratitude for how well GVMH has taken care of its communities during the pandemic.
The group discussed the benefits of the CARES (Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security) Act, a program to provide economic assistance during the COVID-19 crisis. They also talked about the importance of telehealth for rural healthcare providers, as well as how the technology has allowed GVMH to continue to treat patients remotely through the pandemic. In addition, they visited about the ability to get personal protective equipment (PPE) for staff.
