Clinton, Mo. – (Aug. 29, 2019) – Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) is pleased to introduce Brian Becker as a new physician assistant to support the walk-in clinic at Golden Valley Medical – Warsaw.
As a physician assistant, Becker will examine patients of all ages, order tests and prescribe medications to treat medical conditions.
Becker received a master’s degree in the physician assistant program at Wichita State University. He also received a bachelor’s degree in health administration from Ottawa University. Most recently, Becker practiced at the Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas as a physician assistant in family and internal medicine. He has also held physician assistant positions with True Health, Mobile Wound Solutions and the Olathe Health System.
“Brian comes to GVMH with a great deal of experience from several healthcare organizations,” said Charine Larsen, clinic manager at Golden Valley Medical – Warsaw. “He will be an excellent asset to our Warsaw clinic and community.”
In addition, Leah Rogers, physician assistant, will be moving from her role in the walk-in-clinic to accepting patients on an appointment basis. Rogers has a master’s of physician assistant studies from University of South Dakota and a bachelor’s degree from University of Mary. Prior to joining GVMH three years ago, she worked at a family practice in North Dakota.
“I am excited to start establishing and building relationships with patients and families,” said Rogers. “I am a strong advocate for prevention and wellness.”
