Clinton, MO. – (Feb. 16, 2023) – Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) is pleased to announce it is now offering Interventional Radiology services and has added a Interventional Radiologist, Silas Williams, MD, to its medical staff.
In this role, Dr. Williams will diagnose and treat a variety of conditions through minimally invasive procedures. He will use state-of-the-art imaging technology to guide small medical instruments such as wires and catheters through incisions. This approach is less invasive and offers an alternative to surgical treatment and may eliminate the need for hospitalization.
Dr. Williams received a Doctor of Medicine degree from University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City, KS and a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Exercise Science from Baker University in Baldwin City, KS. In addition, he completed a Vascular and Interventional Radiology Fellowship at University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas, Diagnostic Radiology Residency at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE and an internship at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, WI. Dr. Williams is board certified in Interventional and Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology.
“We are excited to welcome Dr. Williams and offer Interventional Radiology services to our patients,” said Savanna Facklam, Director of Outpatient and Scheduling Services. “Dr. Williams will be at GVMH on the first Friday of each month to perform a variety of procedures. I am confident that with his qualifications and experience, he will be a great asset to our patients.”
