Clinton, MO. – (Aug. 8, 2024) – Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) is pleased to announce that Sonya Cole is the August Employee of the Month.
Cole has been an employee of GVMH since 2022. She started as an Emergency Room Nurse and was promoted to Charge Nurse in 2023. In her current role, she completes daily staff assignments, assigns daily tasks, supervises staff, serves as a liaison for staff, providers and other departments, and works as a staff nurse when needed.
In her nomination, it stated that Cole has a charismatic personality and treats everyone she meets like a friend. She continually strives to be better every day, assists with training new staff members and is always willing to take on additional responsibilities and pick up extra shifts as needed.
As the Employee of the Month, Cole received a GVMH gift and her name will be engraved on a plaque to be permanently displayed on the main campus. She is also one of 12 finalists for the 2024-2025 Employee of the Year award.
