Clinton, MO. – (June 13, 2024) – Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) is pleased to announce that Mark Atkins is the June Employee of the Month.
Atkins has been an employee of GVMH since 1994 and works as Section Supervisor in the Laboratory Department. In his role, he reviews patient results, trains new employees, establishes policies and procedures, orders supplies and recommends instrumentation, methods and test kits.
In his nomination, it stated that he goes above and beyond to ensure that accurate chemistry results are reported so that physicians can make the best decisions regarding patient care. He also comes to work with a positive attitude every day and is a team player who genuinely cares about the patients and their outcomes.
As the Employee of the Month, Atkins received a GVMH gift and his name will be engraved on a plaque to be permanently displayed on the main campus. He is also one of 12 finalists for the 2024-2025 Employee of the Year award.
