Clinton, Mo. – (March 13, 2020) – To help promote effective skin and wound care management and ensure more personalized care, Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH), has expanded its wound and skin care services to its clinic in Osceola.
For wound and skin care, the GVMH team works with patients to evaluate conditions by identifying the cause, addressing any underlying medical conditions and reviewing skin and wound history. After the preliminary diagnosis has been determined, treatment options are discussed. Throughout the course of treatment, the team closely monitors the progress of the skin or wound and keeps the primary care provider updated. The team also provides patient education on how to change the dressing, examine skin and offers recommendations on how to prevent new wounds or conditions.
“We are delighted to have Jettie Bailey, our certified wound ostomy nurse, manage these efforts,” said Savanna Facklam, RN, BSN, MSN, director of outpatient and scheduling services. “By expanding our services, we will be able to better support our patients in Osceola and the surrounding communities.”
