Clinton, MO. – (April 18, 2024) – Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) recently held its annual Employee Banquet to show its appreciation for staff and their dedication throughout the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
The event included a dinner, service awards and awards for Employee of the Year and Leader of the Year. In addition, Patty Page was recognized for 50 years of service at GVMH.
This year, Jeff Colgan, Intravenous Access Registered Nurse in the Outpatient Treatment Center, was named Employee of the Year. Colgan has held several roles throughout his employment at GVMH including Home Health RN, House Supervisor, Staff RN and Inservice RN. His colleagues say that he is an integral part of GVMH and the epitome of kindness, compassion and positivity. Colgan is extremely patient-minded, eager to share his expertise with others and happily agrees to help his peers when they need assistance.
Earlene Pipes, Executive Director of Nursing, was named Leader of the Year. Pipes has been a GVMH employee since 2015. She has worked in various roles with increasing levels of responsibility such as a staff nurse, charge nurse, house supervisor and director prior to moving into her current role as Executive Director of Nursing in 2022. Her colleagues say that she is a high-performing, trusted leader who can collaborate across multiple disciplines and departments. Pipes is laser focused on creating solutions that will improve workflows, create a positive patient experience and ensure the highest quality of care.
Patty Page was also recognized for 50 years at GVMH. Throughout her career, Page has worn many hats. She has been an Admissions Clerk, Cashier, worked in Insurance, and even worked in the Café when it opened in 1973. Currently, Patty is a Data Processing Coordinator. “We truly appreciate all her hard work, dedication and humor,” said Craig Thompson, Chief Executive Officer. “She is a very special lady.”
