Clinton, Mo. – (April 20, 2020) – In accordance with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to help prevent asymptomatic spread of COVID-19, and to best protect its patients, visitors and staff, Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GMVH) has implemented a face mask directive.
All staff are now required to wear a mask while at work. They may wear a medical-grade mask provided by the facility or a homemade mask. In addition, all patients and visitors entering the facility will be encouraged to wear a mask. If patients have difficulty wearing a mask due to a health condition, GVMH will be understanding to those needs. If someone does not have a mask, GVMH will provide one.
“We implemented this policy to provide the utmost safety to our patients and visitors, as well as our staff,” said Craig Thompson, CEO at GVMH. “If everyone wears a mask, we all protect one another and reduce community spread.”
