Clinton, Mo. – (May 19, 2021) – Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) is pleased to welcome Derry Gibson as its Patient and Staff Support Liaison.
As the Patient and Staff Support Liaison, Gibson promotes the health, wellness and psychosocial well-being of patients and visitors, as well as the professional development and retention of employees and students. Gibson is also responsible for facilitating spiritual care services to patients and their families. In addition, he provides oversight to the volunteer chaplain program and assists Hospice Services with chaplain services.
Gibson received a Master of Arts degree in pastoral care and counseling from Lincoln Christian Seminary in Lincoln, Illinois and a Bachelor of Theology degree from Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Missouri. He is also board certified through the Spiritual Care Association.
