Clinton, Mo. – (May 26, 2021) – Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) is pleased to welcome Essam Elkady, MD, FCCP, as a pulmonologist in its Outpatient Treatment Center.
Dr. Elkady will see patients to prevent, diagnose and treat conditions that affect the lungs. He will also oversee the Sleep Lab and provide care to patients experiencing sleep disorders.
Dr. Elkady received a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree from Ain Shams University in Abbassia, Cairo, Egypt, where he also completed a rotating internship focusing in internal medicine, pediatrics, anesthesia, cardiology and OB/GYN and a residency in the Cardiothoracic Surgery Department. Dr. Elkady also completed a residency in the Internal Medicine Department at Saint Michael Medical Center at Seton Hall University in Newark, New Jersey and a fellowship in pulmonary/critical care at the same facility.
Dr. Elkady is board certified in sleep medicine, critical care medicine, pulmonary medicine and internal medicine.
Prior to joining GVMH, Dr. Elkady worked at Cox Health in Springfield, Missouri as a consultant in pulmonary and sleep medicine, and critical care.
