Clinton, MO. – (Nov. 21, 2024) – Since 2013, the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital Foundation has decorated a Lights of Life tree to support the local Share Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Group, which serves those touched by the death of a baby during pregnancy, still birth or in the first months of life.
This year, the Lights of Life ceremony will be held on December 5 at 5:30 p.m. in the GVMH Hospital Lobby.
An ornament can be engraved and added to the Share tree for a $20 donation. These ornaments will be displayed throughout the holiday season and then given to the donors.
The ornaments must be purchased by November 25 to ensure they will be included in the ceremony. All proceeds from the ornaments will be donated to the Share Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Group.
The local Share chapter, headed by Kelsey Himes, meets the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the GVMH Medical Plaza Classroom.
“Many fear losing their baby at birth or soon after will mean that unique life will be forgotten,” said Sarah Duncan, Director of Foundation/Stewardship and Development at the GVMH Foundation. “This is a way to celebrate, honor and remember loved ones.”
