The Charge Description Master (CDM or Chargemaster) is a comprehensive list of charges for each inpatient and outpatient service or item provided by our hospital. This list is a lengthy and complex document that is not a recommended tool for patients to use when comparing hospitals or estimating out-of-pocket costs. Generally, the amount listed in the chargemaster is not the amount you will pay.
If you have health insurance, the amount you will pay for services depends on your specific coverage and your insurance company’s contract with the hospital. If you do not have insurance, you will be eligible for a self-pay discount and may also be eligible for financial assistance.
