Clinton, MO. – (July 4, 2024) – Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) is pleased to announce that Marlene Simmons is the July Employee of the Month.
Simmons has been an employee of GVMH for 12 years. She started as a Medical/Surgical Nurse, then moved onto Medical/Surgical Assistant Director and is now a House Supervisor. In her current role, she directs and supervises nursing service functions and activities during the assigned shift.
In her nomination, it stated that Simmons takes pride in being a resource to all units and is frequently mentioned by Directors for her reliability and prompt response to critical events. Staff also rely on Simmons for her expertise in critical care, decompensating patients and ability to handle difficult situations.
As the Employee of the Month, Simmons received a GVMH gift and her name will be engraved on a plaque to be permanently displayed on the main campus. She is also one of 12 finalists for the 2024-2025 Employee of the Year award.
